Description

Volunteers are the backbone of the Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke and South County. This was clearly evident in 2020 when Covid-19 did it's best to create chaos but our intrepid volunteers held fast.

Volunteers provide free transportation services, participate as Friendly Callers/Friendly Visitors, Handy Helpers, coordinate outreach programs such as Lunch N' Life, Adventures in Learning, Exercise Classes.

The pandemic taught us how to provide these services efficiently in new and creative ways either in-person or remotely.
